📍285 Gladstone Boulevard (multiple entrances)

Cliff Drive is a true urban hike, just 5 minutes from downtown KCMO. The road is closed to motorized vehicles and is only open to walkers/bikers. This national scenic byway offers beautiful views of the rocky bluffs above the Missouri River, green forests, and a stone waterfall.

You can get an incredible view of the Kansas City skyline from the 30th floor of City Hall…for FREE. Tours are available Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 8-4, but must be scheduled at least five days in advance.
Kansas City’s first controlled stoplight is still standing at the intersection of Linwood Boulevard and The Paseo. It was installed in the early 1920s during the rise of automobiles, and it’s not hard to imagine a Model T sitting and waiting for a green light.

It’s no secret that Kansas City has a rich history with Jazz music. But did you know that you can experience fine dining + live music with KC’s #1 Jazz artist? Lonnie’s Reno Club at the Ambassador Hotel is the best way to experience the tastes and sounds of Kansas City.

There are a wide variety of museums around the metro, but the quirkiest has to be the National Museum of Toys and Miniatures. The museum is housed within the historic Tureman Mansion near the UMKC campus and is one of the nation’s largest collections of fine-scale miniatures.

An unassuming alleyway in the Crossroads Art District has become a public display for graffiti artists. The alley connects 17th + 18th Street, but the art has spilled over onto multiple buildings around the block.

Sure, lots of cities have climbing gyms. But how many have climbing gyms that are located 10 stories underground? RoKC has three gyms around the metro, but the most unique is definitely found underneath midtown Kansas City.

Do you know how big Central Park in NYC is? 843 acres. Do you know how big Swope Park in KC is? 1,805 acres. Swope Park is one of the largest municipal parks in the country and boasts the Kansas City Zoo, Starlight Theatre, The Lakeside Nature Center, golf courses, soccer fields, and so much more!
