We curate our content from hundreds of local sources, so you get an unbiased daily snapshot of the best things going on in Kansas City. We don’t cover politics, crime, or any divisive topics.

Our mission is simple: help our community of readers feel more connected to kansas city.

How We Got here.

We sent our first newsletter on April 18th, 2023. It was sent to 67 people (all family and friends). We initially sent just two newsletters per week, but began sending 5x/week in june of 2023.

fast forward to today, and kc daily is ready by 25,000+ kansas citians every weekday morning. Our content is 100% local to the KC region, and 100% curated and written by a human.

KC Daily is a part of around town media, a small collection of regional local newsletters that also includes nwa daily in Northwest arkansas and little rock daily in Little rock, ar.

Who writes KC Daily?

That would be me - Nick Hageman, co-founder and operator of KC daily.

I’m a transplant to kansas City. I moved here after graduating from wartburg college in waverly, ia in 2016 and quickly fell in love with the city. I worked in medical sales for eight years before jumping at the opportunity to start kc daily in 2023.

I live here with my wife, becca, and our three kids.
