10 Restaurants to Try in Kansas City 🍽️

There’s more to the Kansas City culinary scene than BBQ. Now that we have that out of the way, let’s dive into our picks of some of the best restaurants KC has to offer.

📍19 West 19th St.

Farina offers a sophisticated dining experience with a menu showcasing modern Italian cuisine by Chef Michael Smith. Handmade pasta, a raw seafood bar, and award-winning wine pairings are just a few of the offerings at this Crossroads hotspot.

📍3936 W. 69th Ter., Prairie Village

Born in 2001, Café Provence has been serving the best French cuisine in Kansas City in their charming space in the Shops of Prairie Village. Consistently named a Top 100 Restaurant in America by OpenTable, grab a reservation (highly recommended) and enjoy your next date night on the patio.

📍2143 Summit St.

Fox and Pearl is renowned for its live hearth and preservation techniques, showcasing local ingredients with a flavorful twist. Nestled in the Westside neighborhood, it offers a warm ambiance perfect for indulging in dishes crafted with passion by Chef Vaughn Good.

📍1830 Walnut St.

Corvino is two unique dining experiences rolled into one exciting venue. The Supper Club offers a shared plate experience with live music, while the Tasting Room is a quiet, intimate space offering a 14-course tasting menu, making it perfect for special occasions.

📍2506 Holmes St.

This small, yet mighty restaurant offers an ever-changing menu inspired by various global cuisines and seasonal ingredients. Chef Nick Goellner brings experience from the French Culinary Institute in New York and the world-renowned Noma in Copenhagen to The Antler

📍 1019 E 63rd St.

Since opening in 2021, Baba’s Pantry has quickly become one of Kansas City’s favorite lunch spots. Baba serves up authentic Palestinian-American cuisine inspired by his mother in a bright and colorful space in East Brookside.

📍1228 Baltimore Ave.

Nestled in the historic Hotel Kansas City, The Town Company is led by Chefs Johnny and Helen Jo Leach who bring experience from world-renowned restaurants such as Momofuku, Eleven Madison Park, and Del Posto. The menu is constantly rotating, but we strongly recommend starting your meal with the hot buns and carrot dip.

📍651 E 59th St.

Fresh oysters in Kansas City? You better believe it. Earl’s Premier is a Maine-inspired oyster bar serving some of the city's best seafood in a no-frills environment. And whatever you order, wash it down with a Frozen Gin and Tonic.

📍3933 Main St.

We are big fans of anything restaurant partners Heather White and Amante Domingo dream up. (The Russell, NOKA, CHEVAL) TAILLEUR is no exception. The space was inspired by White’s love for design, food, and horses; and the detail in the food matches the detail in the restaurant design.

📍1000 W 39th St.

We couldn’t have a list of Kansas City restaurants without including at least one BBQ spot. And Q39 is it. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but if we had to recommend a meal there it would be the Best Wings on the Planet, Smoked Beef Brisket Poutine, and a rack of Q Pork Spare Ribs.
