Chiefs Release Renderings for New Stadium in KCK
A potential new look for the future of Chiefs Kingdom is here! The Chiefs released a first set of concept renderings of a new domed stadium in KCK, set to open in 2031.
What to Expect: The $3 billion venue will seat ~70,000 fans under a fully-enclosed translucent roof, designed to maximize crowd noise while allowing visibility for military flyovers. The seating bowl mirrors Arrowhead's iconic geometry, with a Drum Deck for ceremonies, the Ring of Honor displayed above the bowl, and a parking lot designed with tailgating in mind. Outside, fans will find a reimagined Lamar Hunt Plaza, a Chiefs Hall of Honor more than twice its current size, and a team store four times the size of today's.
Keep it Local: MANICA, the KC firm behind Allegiant Stadium and Inter Miami's Freedom Park, was named lead design architect after a six-month competitive process. HNTB serves as the architect of record. The project is expected to generate $8.2 billion in economic impact during construction and $1.5 billion annually once operational, with no new state taxes.
The complete set of renderings and further details can be found HERE. But first, give us your first reaction. 👇
