National Coffee Day

Vested Coffee
Happy National Coffee Day to the 63% of Americans who drink a cup of joe once a day. Whether you prefer it black or loaded down with milk and sugar, we figured weād give you our favorites to get out and enjoy the celebration with today.
Messenger: Our vote for the most aesthetically pleasing spot in the city, Messenger is the perfect place to bring visitors or simply enjoy a latte and an Ibis Bakery treat on the roof with a great view of downtown.
Oddly Correct: Recently settled into its home on Troost Ave, Oddly Correct offers excellently roasted coffees and biscuit sandwiches. Perfect if youāre the type to enjoy a fresh pour-over.
Splitlog Coffee: We couldnāt make this list without giving love to KCKās Split Log Coffee. This tiny building offers big flavors and great customer service.
PTās Coffee: Yes, we know PTās is technically from Topeka, but this specialty coffee brand is nationally recognized and located in the Crossroads and Power + Light.
Vested Coffee: With 2 locations in the Metro, this coffee shop is the perfect place to study, read a book, or simply enjoy their Onyx Delight.

Scenes From An Italian Restaurant

Kansas City Business Journal
Italian Gardens, the iconic Sicilian-style Crossroads restaurant that once served Harry Truman, Frank Sinatra, and Billy Idol is offering a unique franchising opportunity in Kansas City.
From The Old Country: The restaurant, now named Italian Gardens Sicilian Style Pizza & Deli Sandwiches, boasts a rich history dating back to the Depression and authentic recipes passed down through generations.
Living Legacy: The new franchisee would get access to these century-old recipes and the guidance of owner John David DiCapo, a seasoned restaurateur and real estate expert. DiCapoās ultimate goal is to find someone to carry on the family legacy.
Italian Heritage Festival: Head to the Italian Gardens restaurant on October 6th from 6-10 pm for a special First Friday Event honoring Carl J DiCapo. There will be fresh Italian food, live music, and all proceeds will benefit the Salvation Army.
Italian Gardens is open Monday through Friday until 2 pm. If youāre interested in the opportunity, you can contact Dicapo Foods directly through their website.
