A Modern Market For Modern Consumers

Modern Market Eatery
Thrive Restaurant Group, the owner of HomeGrown in Brookside, is bringing its healthy Modern Market Eatery concept to Prairie Village.
Modern Market For Modern Consumers: Modern Market, the Denver-based restaurant chain known for its healthy, customizable bowls, salads, and wraps. Thrive’s CEO, John Rolph thinks KC is the perfect fit for “a city looking for healthier options that have a lot of flavor that you can get pretty quickly.”
Thriving In The City: Thrive, who already has 3 locations of HomeGrown, thinks that the KC metro could support another 4 or 5 Modern Markets.
Healthy Food: The menu features a variety of bowls, salads, and wraps, as well as breakfast items and smoothies all from fresh ingredients, some of which are locally sourced.
No date has been announced for Modern Market’s first location in Corinth Square, but the restaurant’s new home will be at 4046 W. 83rd St.

“Say Cheese!”

Green Dirt Farm
Weston, Missouri’s Green Dirt Farm won third place for Best in Show at the American Cheese Society competition.
Judgmental Cheese: Each year, cheese makers across the US submit cheeses for judgment by the American Cheese Society. This year, Green Dirt Farm’s Prairie Tomme cheese took home a major award, placing 3rd overall.
Cheese From The Hills: Green Dirt Farm was founded by Sarah Hoffmann, a former academic physician who left her job to pursue her passion for sustainable cheesemaking. Her Prairie Tomme cheese is made from 100% sheep's milk and has nutty and caramel notes accompanied by subtle hints of brown butter.
The Oscars of Cheese: The American Cheese Society’s annual competition is often referred to as the “Oscars of Cheese” where Green Dirt not only received 3rd overall but also had another cheese, Dirt Lover, place first in cheese made from sheep’s milk.
You can purchase Green Dirt Farm’s award-winning cheese by either visiting them in Weston or at their website here.

Puttery
Puttery, an immersive entertainment concept that combines miniature golf, cocktails, and food, is coming to the Country Club Plaza.
Top Golf, But Putt-Putt: Capitalizing on the country’s growing love of golf, the Dallas-based concept will replace the 23,600-square foot space across two floors once occupied by Punch Bowl Social.
Putting Green: Puttery will feature themed nine-hole putting courses in separate rooms, digital scorecards, and bar and lounge areas. While each venue features unique holes, KC will have holes with an art theme, conservatory, and rooftop.
Working On A Short Game: Puttery's arrival is a plus for the Country Club Plaza after developers of the Jack Henry building struggled to initially find a concept that would fit into the Plaza’s building height requirements.
