Two of KC’s Best Restauranteurs to Open New Concept in the South Plaza

Restauranteurs Todd Schulte and Corry Dannehl, the minds behind Earl’s Premier and Bacaro Primo, are opening a new concept in the South Plaza.

• Land to Sea: Sea Capitán Cocina Costera will open in the former Blu Hwy space at 5070 Main St. The food will be inspired by coastal Mexico, offering ceviches, aquachiles, oysters, as well as non-seafood fare. The space will also offer private dining and tequila lockers.

• But Wait, There’s More!: The duo will also open Earl’s Provisions in a space adjoining Earl’s Premier. It will include grab-and-go items from Earl’s Premier and Bacaro Primo, as well as provide expansion to the kitchen and dine-in seating.

Sea Capitán Cocina Costera is expected to be open by the end of June.

The Savannah Bananas Visit Kauffman Stadium This Weekend

The Savannah Bananas will bring “the greatest show in sports” to Kauffman Stadium this weekend.

• Banana Ball: The Bananas will bring their version of baseball called Banana Ball to Kauffman Stadium on May 23-24 when they take on The Firefighters. Games will begin at 7pm on both Friday and Saturday.

• B.A.N.A.N.A.S: The Savannah Bananas are an electrifying baseball team known for viral antics, choreographed dances, and a fan-first approach that transforms every game into a high-energy, unforgettable, circus-like experience. Think Harlem Globetrotters, but on the diamond.
