A Star is Born

The musical, Jesus Christ Superstar, will open next week for its summertime running at the Starlight Theater with nightly shows at 8 pm from Tuesday to Sunday.
Broadway Savior: Jesus Christ Superstar is a Jesus-narrative told using song and dance through the eyes of Judas, who is concerned that Jesus’ leading of the disciples will bring the scorn of the Roman empire upon them.
50th Anniversary: The play was first performed in 1971 with this current tour at Starlight Theater being a continuation of the 50th anniversary.
On the Fence?: If you’re one who is wary of retelling biblical interpretations, you may want to check out the Youtube page to decide for yourself.
Tickets can still be purchased on the Starlight website, but don’t wait, because the play will only be in town for those five nights.

Red Bridge Welcomes New Business

Red Bridge Shopping Center
The Red Bridge Shopping Center is welcoming 2 new businesses to its family-style shopping center.
The Limit Does Exist: After shutting down in 2020 after 25 years of service to the area, the Daily Limit is being brought back to life as The Limit Pub and Grub with expanded food options and a modernized bar.
Charcuterie: Another store opening will be Berries and Honey, specializing in handmade charcuterie boards for all occasions. The storefront will host a variety of events as well as having a variety of food-based items for sale.
Cup of Joe: Although not a new business, grab a coffee at Crow’s, one of our favorite local shops to sip, chat, or study.
Both businesses hope to open this year with The Limit aiming for July and Berries and Honey eyeing a September opening.

KC Is For Families

City of Olathe
KC-area suburbs Olathe and Lee’s Summit just landed inside Fortune Magazine’s list of the 50 best places to live for families.
The List: Fortune puts together its 50 best places to live for families each year with criteria of education, aging resources, general wellness, financial health, and livability.
KC Scores Big: The KC metro happened to have two such cities on different sides of the state line to land on the list with Olathe placing 6th and Lee’s Summit at 14th.
Families ❤️ KC: With Olathe and Lee’s Summit showing up on the Fortune list and Overland Park nabbing a spot on the livability.com list, there seems to be a positive trend for families looking to live in the KC area.
With Kansas City’s home prices continuing to rise, could now be the time to pull the trigger and move to one of the award-winning suburbs?
