America’s (2nd) Happiest Place

City of Overland Park

Happy Wednesday, Kansas City! A new study released this week found that Overland Park is the 2nd happiest city in America.

  • Where IS the Grass Greener?: This week, WalletHub released a happiness study using the largest 180 US cities, factors like the depression rate, income-growth rate, and average leisure time were all taken into account.

  • Suburbia Is Calling: The study found that while Kansas City ranked 128th overall, Overland Park was ranked #2 just behind Freemont, California.

  • Moving Up: This year’s happiness study from WalletHub marks an improvement for Overland Park, which placed 4th last year. Whatever you’re doing, OP, keep it up.

If you were planning on moving to Jackson, Mississippi, Mobile, Alabama, or Akron, Ohio… you may want to reconsider as they were the 3 most unhappy cities in America.
