🍺 KC Oktoberfest - KC’s largest Oktoberfest returns to Crown Center Square, celebrating Bavarian culture with traditional food, beer, live music, dancing, and plenty of festive entertainment on Friday and Saturday.

🍎 Weston Applefest - The 38th annual Applefest fills downtown Weston's Main Street with apple butter demonstrations, craft and food vendors, live music, kids' games, a Saturday morning parade, and many other fall festivities.

🎭 Beetlejuice: The Musical - The edgy, irreverent Broadway smash takes the stage at Starlight for three shows, Friday through Sunday at 7:30pm.

🦁 GloWild - The KC Zoo's lantern festival features a mile-long Hidden Treasure-themed route through the zoo, featuring massive handcrafted light sculptures. It’s open Fri-Sun from 6-10pm.

🍖 Pigapalooza at the American Royal - The only public event at this year’s World Series of Barbecue at the brand-new American Royal campus in KCK features a whole hog competition, BBQ buffet, full bar, and live music from Outlaw Jim & The Whiskey Benders.

Saturday

📚 Heartland Book Festival - The 4th annual Heartland Book Festival offers a full day of author talks, panel discussions, workshops, storytimes, book signings, and regional vendors at the Kansas City Public Library’s Central Library from 9am-4pm.

🏠 Hyde Park Homes Tour - Six historic homes, plus a historic church, will be open in the architecturally-rich neighborhood from 10am-6pm. This is KC's longest-running historic homes tour, now in its 50th year!

👨‍👩‍👧 PNC Family Fun Day - The free fall family festival in the Power & Light District from 11am-4pm offers activities, craft stations, inflatables, petting zoo, pony rides, and Daniel Tiger & Katerina Kittycat from PBS Kids.

🏮 The Lights Festival - Thousands of lights will illuminate the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Warrensburg, along with live music and food trucks. Gates at 3:30pm, lights launch at dusk.

⚽️ KC Current vs. Bay FC - The Current hosts Bay FC at CPKC Stadium for a Heart Health Awareness Red Out, with kickoff at 5:30pm.

🎃 October Fall Fest at Suburban Lawn & Garden - It’s the opening weekend of Fall Fest at all three Suburban Lawn & Garden locations. Expect hayrides, pumpkin patches, face painting, balloon art, and magicians. Free to attend!

rag & bone is Coming to the Country Club Plaza in Spring 2027

rag & bone

rag & bone, the New York-born fashion brand with British roots, will open its first Kansas City store on the Country Club Plaza in spring 2027.

  • Rags to Riches: The premium retailer will carry men's and women's ready-to-wear, denim, footwear, and accessories at 4712 Broadway Blvd. Founded in NYC in 2002, rag & bone blends classic British tailoring with downtown New York style, and it's especially known for its denim.

  • Plaza Momentum: It's the latest first-to-market brand to land on the Country Club Plaza, which has averaged nearly one new store opening per month since March, according to Gillon Property Group. rag & bone joins a lineup that already includes ALO Yoga, LoveShackFancy, Veronica Beard, Lululemon, and Apple.
