Where to Eat for Restaurant Week 🍽️

KC Daily
Happy Wednesday, Kansas City! Kansas City Restaurant Week starts this Friday and runs until the 21st. If you haven’t prepared, that’s okay! Here are five places that we’ve recently dined that we would highly recommend:
Affäre: Unfamiliar with German food? Start here. This little gem in the crossroads has an in-house sommelier and a menu that rotates weekly with only the freshest ingredients.
Kobi Q: Looking for a spin on traditional BBQ? Kobi Q, nestled in the Crossroads just south of downtown, has a variety of mouthwatering Korean BBQ dishes.
Stock Hill: Of course, you’ve heard of Stock Hill, but isn’t it worth a visit if you can get a $55, 3-course dinner? This deal makes it worth it for us.
Ocean Prime: If you’ve been looking for a time to try perhaps the best new seafood spot in the city, look no further. Plus, they have a lunch AND dinner menu for KCRW!
Zero Zero Handmade Pasta: Zero Zero has made a name for itself by making fresh pasta you can take home and make yourself, so why wouldn’t you try a 3-course lunch menu where they do all the work?
There are so many good options beyond these 5, so let us know where you plan to go! And if you're trying to stay close to home, the Kansas City Business Journal broke down participating restaurants by city.
Opening
Living The Island Life

Kon Tiki Room
A new Tiki Bar is opening in the Crossroads named Kon Tiki Room.
Drinks With Little Umbrellas: Kon Tiki Room is a craft cocktail Tiki Bar opening off Baltimore and Southwest Boulevard right next to Up/Down Arcade Bar.
Better Than Vacation: Kon Tiki Room believes that every city should have a great Tiki Bar, and Kansas City is no exception. Mixing the island vibes with modern mixology, this place promises not to give you a run-of-the-mill coconut drink with poorly mixed rum.
Tacos 🤝 Tikis: Along with craft cocktails, Kon Tiki will serve gourmet street tacos into the late evening. Open until 1:30, it believes it could be a great alternative for fresh, late-night snacking.
No timeline has been set for Kon Tiki Room, but after missing the initial goal of opening last Fall, we’re hoping it’s coming soon.
Events
Neverland, Missouri

Kansas City Ballet
Next Month, the Kansas City Ballet will be performing the children’s classic, Peter Pan.
Ticket to Neverland: February 16-23, the Kauffman Center will play host to 6 showings of Peter Pan as the Kansas City Ballet takes us back to Neverland.
A Timeless Classic: Peter Pan has long been a beloved show for children of all ages not only for the story but also for the effects that make it look as though Peter and his friends are soaring through the theater.
Familiar names: The performance tells the original story that we all grew up with as Peter, Wendy, John, Michael, and the Lost Boys face the danger posed by Captain Hook.
Tickets for the performances are on sale now with shows going Friday-Sunday.
