Arrowhead For The Next Generation

Kansas City Chiefs
Happy Thursday, Kansas City! Following suit from the Royals, the Chiefs released details and renderings about how the team plans to upgrade Arrowhead Stadium.
Hunt For Red October: Clark Hunt, the team Chairman and CEO, announced this week that the stadium will be undergoing an $800M renovation, with $300M coming from the Hunt Family.
Welcome To My Crib: Renderings showed improvements to both the inside of the stadium and the surrounding areas. Inside the stadium, improvements include new video boards, a 360-degree upper concourse, and upgraded TV and Wifi.
Imagine Tailgating, But With Trees: Outside the stadium, the team is taking full advantage of the space freed up by the Royals’ departure. New features include several new pedestrian bridges, VIP entrances, a fan activation zone, and more trees.
These changes are subject to the 3/8-cent sales tax proposal in this year’s election. Changes would likely not take place until after the World Cup in 2026.

Leawood Goes Wild

Hufft/Wild Plains
Wild Plains, an upscale children’s boutique store, is coming to Leawood this spring.
New Boutique Alert: Wild Plains is a children’s boutique that mixes clothing from over 50 brands in a variety of patterns and plains.
Swag Your Kids Out: The idea for Wild Plains was born when owner, Kristie Pettibone, found that the selection for fashionable clothing was sparse for her 3-year-old son.
Wild Vs Mild: Wild Plains is not just a shop but an experience, visually divided down the middle half "wild" half "plains" based on Kristie’s love for prints and patterns for the wild side and the plains for being in the midwest Kansas plains for neutrals.
Wild Plains plans to open in the Ranch Mart shopping district at 95th and Mission in mid-late April.

Westside Deserves A Kiss

Bisou
Bisou is Westside’s newest, and perhaps prettiest, European-inspired cafe.
KC’s Most Beautiful Exterior: Bisou, meaning kiss in French, is a European-style cafe that features a beautiful white exterior and patio with a clean, cozy interior. The cafe features coffee from Maps Coffee & Chocolate and baked goods from Black Hole Bakery.
Woman-Owned Everything: The owner, Cait Marie, chose Westside for its walkability and easy access for residents. She also owns the salon upstairs in the building, Second Story.
A Chef Too?!: Bisou opened this week. As the cafe grows, Cait plans to add her own cooking and baking creations to the menu.
Bisou is open from 7-2 every day of the week except Sunday at 2122 Jefferson St Suite A.
