The Plaza Art Fair is returning for the 92nd year from September 22nd to the 24th.
The Fair: The Plaza Art Fair, Kansas City’s largest art fair, draws over 250,000 people each year as the streets of the Plaza shut down to make way for music, food, and over 240 art vendors on every street.
Food For Days: Nearly every Plaza restaurant participates in the event by hosting a food tent in the street where food and drinks can be purchased to walk and enjoy the art.
HBD, Plaza: Not only does this mark the 92nd annual Art Fair, but also the Country Club Plaza’s 100th birthday which was celebrated earlier this summer. Come enjoy the historic site while you listen to music and look at art with a drink in your hand.
The Plaza Art Fair will take place September 22-24. For more information about the festival, or to stay up to date on what vendors will be there, go to their website here.
Music
Tell Them, A$AP
Nomada
Emerging startup Nomada, based here in Kansas City, has already achieved substantial success by collaborating on major projects, such as the latest music video for renowned artist A$AP Rocky.
Best Bottoms: Nomada was instrumental in bringing A$AP Rocky to Kansas City's West Bottoms for his music video and Beats by Dr. Dre commercial, marking a pivotal moment for both the startup and the city.
Vibes Are Good: After a chance event at an Amazon Live Music event, Nomada's military-themed props, including a vintage military tent, caught Rocky's attention and set the stage for a unique connection that transcended a simple business collaboration.
Whatever It Takes: The music video, “Riot (Rowdy Pipe’n)”, was shot in part to Nomada’s influence with the rapper right in their backyard. Embracing their can-do attitude, they did everything to make it happen from storing A$AP’s Mercedes to procuring a last-second horse.
