Paris Baguette to Open in Power & Light District Later This Year

Paris Baguette, a global bakery café franchise with over 4,000 locations worldwide, is opening later this year in the Power & Light District in downtown KCMO.

  • Paris in Power & Light: Paris Baguette will open at 1360 Main Street, bringing a French-style bakery to one of Kansas City’s most walkable neighborhoods. The menu will offer a wide assortment of pastries and handcrafted cakes made from scratch daily, premier Italian coffee, and lunch-friendly options.

  • Daytime Delights: The café will bring daytime energy to downtown, surrounded by Power & Light District favorites like Modern Market Eatery, Bristol, Palm Tree Club KC, and PROTEINHOUSE. Paris Baguette has over 290 locations in North America since franchising in the U.S. in 2015.

An opening date is TBD, but is expected later in 2026.

City Market to Debut Asian Glow Fest KC March 27-28

City Market is partnering with Saigon Night Market to celebrate Southeast Asian food and culture with Asian Glow Fest KC March 27-28.

  • Celebrating Culture: The event celebrates Vietnamese and broader Southeast Asian food, creativity, and community through street food vendors, retail, live music, lion dance performances, and the lively atmosphere of a traditional Asian night market.

  • Let’s Glow!: This is the first time ever that Saigon Night Market will visit Kansas City. Ott Keung, organizer of Asian Glow Fest KC and co- founder of Saigon Night Market grew up spending time at the City Market and will “honor those memories and pay tribute to my late father," with the festival.

Asian Glow Fest KC is a free, family-friendly event. It runs Friday, March 27th from 5-10pm, and Saturday, March 28th from 12-10pm.

Tap Ins to Host National Putting Tour Event this Sunday

Tap Ins and the National Putting Tour are teaming up to offer the 2026 Tap Ins Putting Championship this Sunday, March 8th, at 7pm.

  • Professional Putters: The tournament welcomes putters of all skill levels to play 18 holes on their indoor course. Players will pay a $15 green fee, then either $20 to play in the amateur division or $50 to play in the professional division. The top 33% of players will win cash prizes!

  • Look Ma, I’m on TV!: The event will be filmed by the National Putting Tour, with clips being used on the 2026 National Putting Tour TV Show! The show will be broadcast on ESPN2, ESPN8 The Ocho, and ESPNEWS Network.
