Help Us Determine the Champion of the 2026 Kansas City BBQ Bracket!
March Madness is here, and we’re doing it Kansas City-style with our 2026 BBQ Bracket!
BBQ Busters: Last year we introduced our KC BBQ Bracket, and after 2000+ votes, Q39 came out on top! We’re bringing it back bigger and better this year, with 16 local spots vying for the title. Round 2 will be announced this Friday (3/20), the semifinals will be announced on 3/24, the finals on 3/27 and the Champion will be announced on 4/1.
Smoky Seeding: The seeds for this year’s bracket were determined by a variety of factors: average Google review rating, number of Google reviews, Yelp reviews, past awards, etc. Joe’s Kansas City came out as the #1 seed in 2026. Are you picking any upsets?

Max Mix is Celebrating World Down Syndrome Day at Hy-Vee All Month Long
Max Mix Gourmet Spice Blends and Hy-Vee are teaming up throughout March to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day and raise money for a cause close to home.
Giving Back: For every bottle of Max Mix sold at participating KC-area Hy-Vee locations in March, both Max Mix and Hy-Vee will each donate $1 to BelongKC, an Olathe-based initiative building affordable supportive living communities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Max Mix was founded in 2023 by Max Crawford, a 22-year-old entrepreneur with Down syndrome, and has already raised more than $5,000 for local nonprofits.
Meet Max: Max will be at the Lee's Summit East Hy-Vee (301 NE Rice Rd) this Saturday, March 21st from 11am to 1pm for samples and a bottle signing, alongside ice cream from The Golden Scoop, a nonprofit shop that employs people with unique abilities. March 21st (3/21) is World Down Syndrome Day, a date which signifies the triplication of the 21st chromosome.
Grab your bottle of Max Mix at a local Hy-Vee or online HERE.

KC Daily
After the Men’s and Women’s Big 12 Basketball Tournaments came to a close in Kansas City, March Madness is just gearing up for local college hoops fans.
Bracket Border War: The Kansas Jayhawks earned a No. 4 seed in the East Region, and will take on Cal Baptist this Friday, March 20th at 8:45pm. Meanwhile on the other side of the border, the Missouri Tigers earned a No. 10 seed in the West Region and will face Miami on Friday at 9:10pm in St. Louis.
College Ball Town: With NBA expansion likely off the table in Kansas City, the region will continue to rally around college basketball. Kansas City’s hometown team, the Kansas City Roos, look to turn the program around after bringing on legendary coach Mark Turgeon as the team’s head coach starting next season.
And if you’re one to look ahead, the 2027 Midwest Regional will take place at the T-Mobile Center March 26 & 28 next year. 👀
