The American Jazz Museum to Host a “Night at the Museum” Fundraiser

The American Jazz Museum in the 18th and Vine District is hosting a fundraiser event “Believe in: Night at the Museum”.

  • Do You Believe in Jazz?: The two-night event is a unique fundraising experience that supports the impact of the American Jazz Museum on both Kansas City and the preservation of Jazz music.

  • Musical Heritage: Night one of the “Night at the Museum” fundraiser happened this past Sunday evening, but night two is slated for April 28th. The party will offer captivating jazz performances, tours through the museum, a silent auction, and more!

Kansas City’s newest Chipotle location is taking shape at the corner of Westport Road and State Line.

  • Homes on Parade: Construction is well underway for the metro’s latest Chipotle addition. The corner will look vastly different, as the buildings that once housed Google Fiber have been demolished.

  • Burritos 2 Go: According to the property manager The Tutera Group, this location will feature a “Chipotlane” which offers a dedicated drive-thru lane for customers to pick up online orders (but not place orders).

According to signage at the site, the location plans to be open this summer.

Since 2010, KC Design Week has been showcasing all areas of design across Kansas City. We are in the middle of the 2024 Kansas City Design Week, and there are plenty of events still to come before it wraps up on April 27th. Here are some highlighted events:

A New Collegiate Baseball League is Coming to Kansas City

A new baseball league coming soon to the metro aims to be “the most competitive college wood bat league in the area”.

  • Dreaming of the Bigs: The KC Collegiate Baseball League will be the area’s premier wood-bat league for college players and high school seniors. The league will provide players access to facilities throughout the summer as well as scouting by PrepBaseball Report.

  • Off-Season is On: The 2024 season kicks off Memorial Day weekend with eight organizations participating. The 24-game season will be played at Creekside Baseball Park as well as other HomeField baseball complexes in the area.
