Overland Park, Olathe Named Top 10 Places to Live in 2025

Downtown Overland Park

Two Kansas City suburbs were named top 10 places to live in 2025 according to Livability.com.

  • Numbers Don’t Lie: Livability used 100 data points and an algorithm that takes into account measures of a city’s economy, housing and cost of living, amenities, transportation, environment, safety, education and health. The study named Overland Park at #6 with a LivScore score of 831, and Olathe at #9 with a LivScore score of 799.

  • Live and Let Live: The study found Flower Mound, TX to be the #1 city in America with a LivScore of 875. Only three other cities in Kansas and Missouri were named: Columbia, MO (#73), Wichita, KS (#75) and St. Louis, MO (#97).
