Welcome to Blue October: The Royals Start Postseason Play Today!

Kansas City Royals/IG

For the first time since 2015, we can say the following sentence: The Royals are playing postseason baseball!

  • Blue October: The Royals have completed a remarkable turnaround from last season, where they finished with a franchise-record 106 losses. They return to the MLB playoffs for the first time since 2015, when they won the World Series, becoming only the third team in MLB history to reach the postseason following a season with more than 100 losses.

  • It’s Gameday!: The Boys in Blue head to Baltimore, where they take on the Orioles in a best-of-three series for the AL Wild Card. Game one starts TODAY, with the first pitch scheduled for 3:08 pm on ESPN2. Game two is tomorrow at 3:38 pm, and game three (if necessary) is Thursday at 3:08 pm

Nervous you won’t be able to watch these mid-day games? We got you. Fill out this form and give it to your boss.
