🛎️ Checking In: River Market Hotel to Open This Spring
A new $31M boutique hotel has broken ground in Kansas City’s River Market and expects to be open before the 2026 World Cup next summer.
Stop & Stay: On Tuesday, developers broke ground on the River Market Hotel at 415 Delaware St. This historic building traces its roots to the 1880s, and will be transformed into a four-story, 45-room boutique hotel and restaurant. The front door of the hotel is just steps from the River Market West streetcar stop.
Boutique Work: The building’s design will aim to preserve the architectural character of the building, while blending classic Italian design with a modern aesthetic. It will also feature a restaurant, a lounge bar, a coffee bar, and a garden courtyard.

River Market Hotel
Fun fact: The River Market Hotel will be the first hotel within the boundaries of the River Market neighborhood.
