🎬 Full Tilt Film Festival - Kansas City's inaugural sports storytelling film festival opens on Friday and continues all day Saturday with world premieres, exclusive screenings, filmmaker Q&As, and conversations with industry leaders.

🎭 Wicked - The final weekend of the Tony Award-winning Broadway phenomenon at Municipal Auditorium Music Hall. Five shows remain throughout this weekend.

🏠 Kansas City Home Show - Home improvement professionals, product demos, and design inspiration fill Bartle Hall at the KC Convention Center, showcasing everything in and around your home under one roof. Passes are free online or $10 at the door.

🎸 Paola Roots Festival - The 37th annual Roots Festival takes over downtown Paola's Park Square with live music Friday evening and all day Saturday, the East Central Kansas State BBQ Championship, craft vendors, and a small-town summer festival.

🍷 Wine Walk for Wildlife - Walk the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium while sampling 40 wines! There will also be food trucks, live music, and chats with conservation leaders.*

🍿 Movie Night at the OP Arboretum - Catch Miss Congeniality on the big outdoor screen at the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens along with food trucks, yard games, and movie trivia before showtime. Gates open 7pm, movie at dusk.

🎨 Fourth Fridays in Downtown Lee's Summit - Live music, local art, and late-night shopping in historic downtown Lee's Summit from 5–8pm.

🐱 Hello Kitty Cafe Truck at Crown Center - The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck pulls up to Crown Center Square for one day only, featuring exclusive treats and merch while supplies last. 10am–7pm.

⚽️ Sporting KC vs. Vancouver Whitecaps - Sporting KC hosts Vancouver at Sporting Park for Ted Lasso Night! Pre-game festivities include a Ted Lasso Look-Alike Contest, games and activities for fans of all ages, giveaways, and more. Kickoff at 7:30pm.

🎷 Tribute to Charlie Parker - In partnership with KC Jazz ALIVE, The Kansas City Jazz Orchestra pays tribute to Bird at the historic Folly Theater at 7pm.

🎵 Flew the Coop Fest - The first-ever Flew the Coop Festival packs 20 KC musical artists across three stages at Blip Coffee Roasters in the West Bottoms, plus food trucks, West Bottoms Whiskey tastings, and a late-night afterparty at Radco.

🥅 KC Current vs. North Carolina Courage - The Current host the Courage at CPKC Stadium for Brain Health Awareness Night presented by The University of Kansas Health System. Kickoff at 5:30pm.

🤘 O.A.R.: Three Decades Tour - O.A.R. celebrates 30 years of music at Starlight Theatre with special guests Gavin DeGraw and KT Tunstall. Show starts at 6:30pm.

Disco Burger is Now Open in Brookside

Disco Burger

Let’s grab a burger (in Brookside). Disco Burger has officially opened its second location in the Brookside neighborhood.

  • Burger Time: Disco Burger can be found at 600 E 63rd St, #100, inside the former Flying Horse Taproom space. They have been taking online orders for pickup at their take-out window on the side of the building since mid-July, but the dining room is now open for business.

  • Two is Better Than One: Disco Burger originally opened in the River Market in 2024, alongside cocktail bar Varsity Club. The menu is simple, but mighty: Disco Burgers, Disco Dogs, fries, and drinks. Vegan/vegetarian options are also available.

Disco Burger Brookside is open Wed/Thurs 4-10pm, Fri/Sat 4-11pm, and Sun 11am-3pm.
