Fareway Meat Market has opened its third location in the metro in the Northland.

  • Hot Start: The grocery store chain, headquartered in Iowa, moved into the metro in 2020 with the purchase of McGonigle Market at 79th Street and Ward Parkway.

  • BBQ In The Cart: Taking its cues from McGonigle’s, Fareway Meat Market offers freshly smoked BBQ, which made McGonigale’s a local favorite throughout the years.

  • Smoking Hot: With the addition of the new metro location, the first in the Northland, Fareway Meat Market now has over 130 locations across the Midwest.

You can visit the new location at 8606 NE 85th St. which will be open Monday through Saturday from 8 am to 8 pm.

Art Season In KC

Westport Kansas City

The month of Art Festivals continues this weekend with Art Westport, which highlights only local artists.

  • That’s A Lot Of Art: For the 43rd year, Art Westport will draw over 30,000 visitors to the historic district to see the work of over 145 local artists.

  • Sunny Weekend: The festival will take place rain or shine. Don’t worry, the weather is expected to be perfect and the patio at Char Bar will be open all weekend.

The event kicks off this afternoon from 3 to 9. It will continue tomorrow from 10 am to 9 pm, and Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm.

Business

FinTech’s Future Looks Fine

C2FO

C2FO, a Leawood-based financial tech company with global reach, recently hit a $300 Billion dollar milestone.

  • Tool For Working Capital: C2FO, Collaborative Cash Flow Optimization, was founded in 2008 by Sandy Kemper. The company helps businesses by giving them a platform to engage with their customers directly to negotiate early payment on their invoices.

  • Big Money: While it took the company 10 years to fund businesses with $100B in early payments, and another 2 years to reach the $200B mark, it’s gained momentum by crossing the $300B mark in just 16 months.

  • Growing Global Economies: Now, C2FO has its sights set on the global stage. Its recent work in India and Mexico, two of the world’s emerging economies, has given businesses in those countries access to working capital that could increase their GDPs by over 1%.
