⛲️ Business is Booming

The List: Businesses were ranked by average annual revenue growth from 2023-2025, based on KCBJ research or questionnaires. Only businesses with more than $1 million in revenue in 2025 were included.

Top Three: Overland Park-based Fountain City Logistics landed at No. 1, with 22,702% average revenue growth from 2023-2025. No. 2 was Leawood-based Medcurate Inc., and No. 3 was Overland Park-based Steps Consulting LLC.

Send-Off Sounds: The evening at Helzberg Hall features music director Matthias Pintscher and violinist Blake Pouliot. The performance opens with two works by Austrian composer Olga Neuwirth, followed by Aaron Copland's Suite from Appalachian Spring, and closes with Tchaikovsky's virtuosic Violin Concerto in D Major, performed by Pouliot.

The Tour: Following a celebrated 2024 European debut in Amsterdam, Berlin, and Hamburg, the Symphony returns to those same world-renowned stages this fall. Friday's concert is a preview of exactly what European audiences will hear.

Chaos for a Cause: THUNDERGONG! benefits Steps of Faith Foundation, which helps uninsured and underinsured amputees get the prosthetic limbs they need. The 2025 show raised more than $1.1 million, pushing the nine-year total past $5 million and funding prosthetic care for more than 2,400 people nationwide.

Live on Stage: Sudeikis hosts, Kansas City's own Summer Breeze performs, and additional celebrity guests will be announced in the coming weeks. The show can be a little hard to explain (in a good way), so just check out last year’s Smash Recap.

🎨 Art Around the World: The Museum of Kansas City is showing Connecting Cultures Across Kansas City: The Hand-in-Hand Folk Art Collection. The free exhibit features 150+ rarely seen folk art pieces from Latin America and the American Southwest, organized by Mattie Rhodes Center.*
