💚 Green Street, the all-new community gathering space and farmers market in downtown Lee’s Summit, is celebrating its grand opening with food trucks, live music, street performers, and more!
🌎 The 46th Annual Ethnic Enrichment Festival celebrates global culture, food, music, dance, and more at Swope Park all weekend long.
🎹 Briarfest X, a 2-day music festival benefiting the Midwest Music Foundation and BBPA, takes over E.H. Young Riverfront Park in Riverside on Friday and Saturday.
🌻 Celebrate the state flower of Kansas at KC Sunflower Festival at KC Wine Co. in Olathe. Food & drink, wine, outdoor games, and (of course) sunflower field photo ops!
⚾️ The Royals welcome the Chicago White Sox to Kauffman Stadium for a 3-game series. Friday night features a Bring Out the Blue T-shirt Giveaway, Saturday is Teachers Night, and Sunday is Biker Day.

🎺 816 & All That Jazz is Kansas City’s officialy 816 Day celebration happening in the Power & Light District. The block party features commencement speech from Mayor Q, live entertainment, dance battle, food truck alley, and more!
🥃 816 Day at J. Rieger & Co. features a run club, live music, $8.16 drink specials, makers market by Cherry Pit Collective, and a Kids’ Corner.
🛍️ The Zona Rosa 816 Block Party is happening from 4-7pm with live music, a mural painting & community art experience, photo ops, food trucks, kids activities.
🪕 Head to the Independence Square from 2-8pm for the Independence Roots Music Festival for local and regional bands, food, drinks, artisans, and an after-party at 3 Trails Brewing.
🎉 816 Day Celebration at Creekside in Parkville features local vendors, live music, KC Current Teal Mobile, special appearances, and more!
🎤 Kidz Bop Live takes the stage at Starlight at 6pm for the Certified Bop Tour.
⚽️ A battle of the top two teams in the NWSL table happens at CPKC Stadium, as the Current take on the Orlando Pride at 3pm.

Sláinte! Kansas City Irish Fest, the area’s largest celebration of Irish culture, returns to Crown Center Labor Day weekend. (August 29-31)
Get a Guinness: The three-day festival exists to promote the "culture, music, character and history of Ireland and the Irish people who call Kansas City home. The weekend features Irish food, music & dance, whiskey, Art in the Park at Washington Square Park, and more. Check out the full schedule to plan your weekend.
Kiss Me, I’m Irish: GA tickets start at just $28.50 on Friday, and a variety of VIP experiences are available.
