Monday Musings

Thank you for your support of KC Daily! ⛲️

Happy Monday! This is Nick Hageman, cofounder and operator of KC Daily. I’m breaking the fourth wall this morning to express my gratitude to each and every one of you for reading KC Daily and supporting our newsletter.

My wife and I welcomed our third child this past Friday, so I’m feeling extra grateful this morning. (As of me writing this, they are all still asleep 🤞) Being able to come home to a job I love is a huge blessing. I look forward to finding out what’s going on around town, writing this newsletter focused on Kansas City, and connecting with community members and business owners.

KC Daily is kept going (and free) in two ways: our local advertising partners and our Fan Club. I promise this newsletter will never sit behind a paywall, and it will only get better with time. I look for fresh ideas every single day. If you are in a position to support KC Daily, I’d be honored to welcome you into our Fan Club. For just $10/month, $100/year, or a one-time gift, you can play a role in keeping our newsletter free for our 21,419 (and counting) daily readers and get access to Fan Club-only giveaways throughout the year!

P.S. If you’re interested in becoming one of our local advertising partners, send me an email. We’re rolling out a new partner program soon that I’m really excited about. 👀

Thank you for your support of KC Daily! Now to the good stuff. 👇

The project received a 25-year property tax abatement and sales tax exemption on construction materials, helping to advance its development.

  • Downtown Dreams: As part of the ongoing revitalization of the Power & Light District, Four Light aims to enhance urban living and commercial activity. With approval from the Planned Industrial Expansion Authority, the project is set to contribute to the city's downtown growth.
