A New Cocktail Bar Opens in Rosedale

Modern Lark

After almost three years of preparation, Sagebrush is finally slinging cocktails in the Rosedale neighborhood of KCK.

  • New Neighbors: Sagebrush is a new venture from Christopher Ciesiel and Cristin Llewellyn, the team behind The Campground. The bar is located at 1639 Southwest Boulevard, next to the cafe and gift and goods shop Garden House.

  • Southwestern Influence: Sagebrush’s space offers American Southwest vibes in both cocktail offerings and design. The team worked with local makers Element Ten for the neon lighting and Modern Lark for the furniture design.

Sagebrush will be open Tuesday-Friday from 11-4 and Saturdays from 3-11.

Exciting news, artisan caffeine lovers! The Heartland Tea, Coffee, and Chocolate Festival is marking a vibrant new chapter for the Midwest Tea Festival.

  • Triple Time: This year, the festival will take your experience to a whole new level, expanding the horizons with an incredible lineup of returning tea exhibitors, the addition of coffee and chocolate exhibitors, as well as industry experts specializing in all three luxuries.

  • Afternoon Tea & More: Indulge your senses with tastings from local artisans, discover the art of brewing through our engaging classes, and savor a delightful Afternoon Tea and Coffee service—an experience you won't want to miss. The event will take place at Ameristar Casino and Hotel on October 19-20.

An Indoor/Outdoor Mini Golf Concept Planned in Overland Park

A family-friendly entertainment concept featuring indoor/outdoor mini golf and a restaurant is being proposed in Overland Park.

  • Putt & Eat: Tap Ins would feature two mini golf courses, one outdoor and one inside a temperature-controlled greenhouse. The 3.6-acre campus would also feature a restaurant, bars, and more.

  • Crane Watch: Tap Ins would join a slew of other developments around 95th and Metcalf. Find out more about this development proposal (and other Overland Park projects) by checking out the What’s Happening in my Neighborhood map on the OP city website.

The Overland Park Planning Commission will discuss the project on September 9th.
