A New Coffee Shop is Coming to Downtown Shawnee
The downtown Shawnee food & drink scene just keeps getting better. A new coffee shop called Current State Coffee is coming soon.
Shawnee Sips: Current State Coffee will open in a 93-year-old building at 11217 Johnson Drive. The shop will have a “70s ski lodge vibe” seating 50-70, and include an outdoor patio. Coffee will be roasted in-house, along with a full coffee bar and pastries.
Coffee Connoisseurs: The shop will be opened by Josh Greenlee, owner of Seleno Coffee, Nick Robertson, a co-founder of Messenger Coffee, and David Weber. Last month, the Shawnee City Council approved a $50,000 grant loan to help with renovations.
Current State Coffee hopes to open in January. Follow along for updates HERE.
