Celebrate National Pasta Day With a Recipe From Chef Michael Smith of Farina

Jenny Wheat

This Saturday, October 17th, is National Pasta Day. What better way to celebrate than with a recipe for Braised Rabbit Gnocchi from James Beard Award-winning Chef Michael Smith?

  • Award Winning Pasta: This recipe from Chef Michael has been on the menu at Farina since day one in 2007. It was created by his Chef de Cuisine, Carl Thorne-Thomsen, and has remained a popular dish for nearly 20 years. It is also served on the Extra Virgin lunch menu.

  • Break Out Your Apron: If you’re looking to impress this Saturday (or any night), this recipe is for you! It’s somewhat of a project, but the end result is 100% worth it. As a bonus, the recipe includes a wine pairing from Farina’s wine director, Nancy Smith, as well as a short note on the dish from Chef Michael.
