Don’t Miss This Year’s Final Summer Concert at The Kansas City Museum
Fall is just about here, so don’t miss this year’s final Summer Concert on the East Lawn at the Kansas City Museum!
Summer Singin’: This Friday (9/13) features the final Summer Concert, with music from Mariachi Estrella KC from 7-9 pm. Bringing picnics & lawn chairs is encouraged, and the event is dog-friendly. The Museum’s soda fountain, Elixir, will be serving beer, wine, and select cocktails (no outside alcohol is permitted).
Dance Into Fall: Mariachi Estrella KC was founded in 2017 and performs classic and contemporary mariachi music for the whole family. The six-member band performs all over the midwest and once performed at halftime of a Chiefs game!
Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door. Children 12 and under are FREE!

Yoli Tortilleria is Opening a New Lunch Concept
The James Beard Award-winning Yoli Tortilleria is opening a new concept serving lunch in the Westside Neighborhood.
Award-Winning Lunch: Marissa Gencarelli opened Yoli Tortilleria in 2017 with the desire to make fresh, quality Sonoran-style tortillas. After winning a prestigious James Beard Award in 2023 for ‘Outstanding Bakery’, its popularity has driven Gencarelli to expand her concept.
Open for Lunch: Yoli Loncheria will open up in the same space (1668 Jefferson St.) and be open from 10-2 Thursday through Saturday during the first phase of business. The menu will consist of tlacoyos and tetelas, burritos, tortas, and soups.
Yoli Loncheria is expected to be open by the end of September. Until then, check out all of Yoli’s products HERE.

Single-Game Tickets Now Available for Jayhawk Football at Arrowhead
The Chiefs aren’t the only football team calling Arrowhead home this season. The Kansas Jayhawks will play four home games at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium against Big 12 opponents as David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium in Lawrence undergoes renovations.
TCU: Saturday, September 28
Houston: Saturday, October 19
Iowa State: Saturday, November 9
Colorado: Saturday, November 23

🎅 Holiday Flicks: Hallmark announced that the Kansas City-based “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story” will air on Saturday, November 30 at 7 pm.
⚾️ Series Win: The Royals swept the 3-game series against the Minnesota Twins this weekend, putting them 2.5 games above the Twins for second place in the AL Central. (Playoff baseball in KC sounds really nice).
