Community
KC Daily Dinner Club is Headed to the Plaza on February 26th
One of our goals in 2026 is to take KC Daily beyond the inbox and build real-life community connections. Which is why we launched KC Daily Dinner Club!
Around the Table: These monthly gatherings pair you with a group of five fellow Kansas Citians based on a 15-question personality quiz. Groups will be matched to have dinner together at a local restaurant based on responses, then all tables will be invited to an all-group gathering afterwards for drinks and further connection!
Country Club Connections: Our second-ever Dinner Club is happening on Thursday, February 26th at 6:30pm on the Country Club Plaza. All you have to do is sign up, and we take care of the rest. Our first Dinner Club in January filled up in less than 48 hours, so don’t wait!
Take the quiz and get matched for Dinner Club HERE.

Residents Sound Off About Chiefs’ Move to JOCO
On Tuesday, one step of the Chiefs’ move to Kansas was completed, while residents sounded off on another.
Olathe Approves: The Olathe City Council unanimously approved (7-0) an ordinance pledging local sales and hotel tax revenue from a 165-acre site at College Boulevard and Ridgeview Road to help finance the Chiefs' $300 million headquarters and practice facility. The pledge includes 1% general sales tax, 0.5% of Johnson County sales tax, and 7% hotel tax, all from within the project area only, for up to 30 years.
Let’s Hear It: Meanwhile, in KCK, dozens of residents addressed commissioners at a packed hearing ahead of Thursday's vote on the proposed $3 billion domed stadium at 126th and State Avenue. No public comment will be allowed, but commissioners will answer questions raised on Tuesday.
Timelines include the stadium opening by August 1, 2031, and the deadline to complete the entertainment district is December 31, 2038.
