Disclosure Day Hits Theaters Today: Its Connection to KC

Mike Day Photography

Steven Spielberg’s new sci-fi thriller Disclosure Day hits theaters today, and the film has (fictional) ties to Kansas City.

  • E.T. in KC: Although the movie was filmed elsewhere, Disclosure Day has deep ties to Kansas City through Emily Blunt's character, Margaret Fairchild, a Kansas City meteorologist who begins experiencing extraordinary abilities. The official trailer shows Blunt’s character on set for “Weather 4 Kansas City”.

  • Spoilers Ahead: The film makes multiple references to Kansas City throughout, and features shots of KC’s skyline and Union Station near the end of the film. Will aliens arrive in Kansas City? That’s for you to find out!
