Opening

Messner Bee Farm to Open New Shop in the River Market

KC Daily

This news has us buzzing. Messner Bee Farm announced it will open a new location in the River Market.

  • What’s the Buzz: Messner will take over the space at 505 Walnut St., joining its other storefronts in Raytown and Lee’s Summit. The historic space served as the home of Andrews-Burris Seed Co. in the 1950s, which mailed seeds and beekeeping supplies. Talk about a full circle.

  • Bee-lieve It: Messner Bee Farm is run by Erik and Rachael Messner, who started beekeeping in 2011. It has since expanded into a household name in Kansas City, offering products such as honey, lip balm, lotion, candles, and more. Pro tip: their Creamed Honey is incredibly addictive.

An October opening is expected. Follow along for updates and opening announcements!
