We’re getting a head start on the weekend with a Thanksgiving Roundup! Here’s a list of things for you to do this upcoming weekend to help you work off that turkey:

🏈 Chiefs vs. Cowboys - The Chiefs head to Dallas to take part in the Thanksgiving Day tradition at 3:30pm and look to keep their playoff hopes alive with a victory.

💡 96th Annual Evergy Plaza Lighting Ceremony - Another Kansas City holiday tradition kicks off at 7pm, with KC Current team members flipping the switch to illuminate the Country Club Plaza.

🩵 The Current Shop - Check out the brand-new brick-and-mortar shop filled with KC Current merch on the Country Club Plaza at 302 Nichols Road from 5-9pm.

🎄 Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting Event - Experience the illumination of one of the largest Christmas trees in the nation at Crown Center at 6pm!*

🎅 Hallmark Christmas Experience - The free, immersive holiday experience kicks off its second year with a Christmas Market, food & drink, a card-sending station, Hallmark Movie-Thon, and more.

🍷 Sunken Cork Grand Opening - The two-level cozy wine lounge inside Arrow Dart Club officially opens at 12pm until midnight.

🚂 CPKC Holiday Train - The illuminated train makes a stop at Union Station at 6pm, as it spreads holiday cheer and raises money for community food banks. The event features a free concert from Smash Mouth and JJ Wilde.

🍸 Holiday Pop-Up Bars - Sip in the holiday spirit all weekend long at any of these 16 can’t-miss pop-ups across the metro.

🛍️ Merry Market - The free, open-air shopping experience at the City Market features 75+ local vendors curated by Art Garden KC, holiday bites & sips, live entertainment, and more.

🌲 Christmas in the Park - Take a drive through the dazzling winter wonderland of 200+ animated displays and over a million lights at the Frank White Jr. Softball Complex starting at 5:30pm.

🏠 Corinthian Hall Gingerbread House - Check out the transformation of the 115-year-old Beaux-Arts mansion into a fully edible gingerbread house by local baker Michelle Tobiason at The Museum of Kansas City.

🩰 The Nutcracker - The classic holiday tale performed by the Kansas City Ballet returns to the stage at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts starting at 2pm, with performances scheduled through Christmas Eve.

🐟 Lilico’s Taverna Grand Opening - Lilico’s Taverna officially opens its doors at 8pm at 1615 Oak St., offering tinned fish, craft cocktails, snacks, and more.

📚 Silent Reading Party - Spend the weekend visiting local bookstores along the Kansas City Bookstore Crawl, and get your passport stamped so you can enter the Silent Reading Party at J. Rieger & Co. from 4-8pm.

🎥 Elf @ Regnier Extreme Screen - Catch Buddy the Elf on the largest screen in Kansas City with a showing of Elf for just $3.75 at 12:30pm, 4pm, or 7:30pm.
