Kansas and Missouri Renew Border War…On the Gridiron
The Missouri-Kansas Border War has a long history, but a “friendly” aspect of it will be renewed this Saturday, with the Missouri Tigers and Kansas Jayhawks facing off at Faurot Field at Memorial Stadium.
Rivalry Renewed: The game will be the first time that the former Big 12 rivals and neighbors have faced off on the gridiron since 2011. (Missouri won 24-10) Missouri joined the SEC conference the following year, thus ending the heated rivalry game. Until now.
Tigers v. Jayhawks: The game kicks off at 2:30pm in Columbia, and will be broadcast on ESPN2. As of the writing of this newsletter, Mizzou is a 6.5 point favorite. The rivalry has been so heated over the years, the two sides can’t even agree on the correct all-time matchup record.
The game is officially sold out, but resale tickets are still available.
Who are you backing for the border war? 🏈
