KC Daily
An exciting new era in childrenās literature kicked off yesterday, as The Rabbit hOle officially opened to the public!
Follow the Rabbit: Weāve been following the progress of the Rabbit hOle ever since those mysterious pink neon rabbits adorned the top of a warehouse building in North Kansas City. And yesterday, the 165,000-square-foot museum dedicated to childrenās literature opened to the public.
Literature for All: The museum brings a century of American childrenās literature to life with immersive exhibits based on classic childrenās novels, a Print Shop and Story Lab, Lucky Rabbit Bookstore, and much more. The mission of the Rabbit hOle is to ānourish, empower, and inspire the reading lives of children and adults.ā
The Rabbit hOle is still a masterpiece in the making, and a grand opening celebration is planned for April 27th. Until then, timed tickets can be purchased here.

Parade Park Homes Set for Redevelopment

Parade Park Homes
One of the nationās oldest Black-owned housing developments is set to be developed by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Bids on Parade: The HUD acquired the 26-acre property on Monday with a nearly $12M bid. The city of Kansas City then turned around and purchased the development from HUD for $10 (you read that right) via a ānon-judicial foreclosure saleā.
Up Next, Development: Now begins a $275M project that would double the number of existing residences over the next 6 years. Currently, only one-third of the units in the development have leases, and existing residents will be relocated while the development takes place through 2030.
Oversight of the project will be by Flaherty & Collins.
