Freedom Plane National Tour Makes First Stop in Kansas City
The Freedom Plane National Tour: Documents That Forged a Nation exhibit opens today at the National WWI Museum and Memorial.
Documented History: The traveling exhibition will visit eight U.S. cities in commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary in 2026, making its first stop in Kansas City now through March 22nd. Guests will be able to see a curated selection of original records from the National Archives and Records Administration, most of which are leaving Washington D.C. for the first time in decades.
What to See: The documents on view include an original engraving of the Declaration of Independence from (1823), Articles of Association (1774), Treaty of Paris (1783), a secret printing of the Constitution in draft form (1787), and more. The exhibit inside Memory Hall is open daily 10am-5pm, with extended hours until 8pm on Thursdays.
Free tickets are available in-person on the day of your visit, on a first-come, first-served basis. A limited number of tickets can be accessed when purchasing Museum and Memorial tickets online.
