• ⚾️ You’re Outta Here!: If you’ve dreamt of a career as an MLB umpire, head to the Kansas City Urban Youth Academy from 8-12 on Saturday for a one-day umpire camp.

• 🧗‍♂️ Rock The Block: Gearhead Outfitters and ROKC Climbing Gym in Olathe are teaming up to present Rock The Block this Saturday night. The event features Meltbox Ice Cream, lawn games, a used gear sale, and a Patagonia film screening.

• 🦮 Mutt & Merlot: KC Wine Co. is hosting the Mutt & Merlot Weekend for the next three days, filled with food and drink specials, live music, bingo, and DOGS!

• 🐾 Patriotic Pups: Speaking of dogs, bring your furry friends to the Lenexa Public Market on Saturday from 9-12 for a Paw-triotic Pet Parade! There will be treats (for dogs and humans).

• 🧨 Celebrate America Early: The city of Raymore is getting a head start on Independence Day with their Spirit of America Celebration taking place TONIGHT. Activities start at 6 pm with fireworks starting at dusk.

City Barrel Pizza + Patio Celebrates Grand Opening TODAY

Friday nights = pizza nights. City Barrel Pizza + Patio is celebrating its highly-anticipated grand opening today in Brookside/Waldo.

• Worth the Wait: City Barrel owners James Stutsman and Joe Giammanco purchased Bier Station in early 2023 and after 18 months of renovation, are ready to show off their second location to their loyal fans. The new space features an overhauled interior and an expansion of the front patio, which now features 78 seats + 16 rope swings.

• What’s on Tap: The bar will feature 30 taps (20 reserved for City Barrel beers) as well as New York-style pizzas. Although fitted with modern updates, the space will still maintain old-school pizza shop vibes with pinball machines, foosball tables, claw machines, and a photo booth.

City Barrel Pizza + Patio can be found at 120 E. Gregory Blvd, and will be open until 10 pm.
