Russell Stover is Handing Out Free Chocolate Across KC This Halloween Weekend
Russell Stover is wrapping up its annual October tradition with a weekend of free chocolate giveaways across Kansas City.
Trick or Sweet: For more than 20 years, Russell Stover employees have dressed up and handed out candy at the company’s headquarters. This year, they’ll be on the circle drive at Oak St. & Volker Blvd. on Friday, October 30th, at 1pm, with roughly 3,500 pieces ready for neighborhood trick-or-treaters.
Sweet Saturday: On Halloween, Russell Stover is handing out 3,300 pieces to finishers at the Girls on the Run 5K at Hy-Vee Arena at 9am. Another 5,904 pieces go to fans on Sporting Plaza at 1pm, ahead of Sporting KC’s 2pm match against FC Dallas. Riding the KC Streetcar that day? Keep an eye out for pumpkin-shaped chocolates.
In total, Russell Stover will give away 24,500 pieces of chocolate this October, a tradition dating back to 1999.
