Giving BBQ Some Seoul

Smoke N Seoul
Happy Wednesday, Kansas City! Smoke N Seoul, a fiery newcomer in Kansas City, blends iconic BBQ with bold Korean flavors.
Perfect Pairing: Greg and Nancy Stears, the dynamic duo behind this fusion of Kansas City tradition and Korean zest, are creating unique dishes like kimchi-infused burritos and smoked pork belly tacos.
Asian Influence: The food truck turning full-time kitchen redefines BBQ classics and mixes up traditional sides, from tangy pulled pork kimchi sandwiches to four-cheese mac with sautéed kimchi.
Honoring Tradition: Smoke N Seoul, which is now building a full-time kitchen inside Transport Brewing in Gardner, captures the essence of Korean cuisine by using authentic recipes and double-frying techniques to perfect their dishes.
For now, Smoke N Seoul will continue to operate its food truck for events in the city. If your mouth is watering like ours and you can’t wait, you can visit order from Transport Brewery in Gardner where the food truck currently resides on weekends.

Development
Making Its Way Downtown

Google Maps
Major mixed-use projects are in the works near downtown Kansas City's T-Mobile Center, with Copaken Brooks eyeing a pair of major developments in the area.
Taken To School: The development plans emerged as Copaken Brooks and Hunt Midwest took over the vacant lot at 1211 McGee where the KC Public Schools’ headquarters once stood.
Lots Of Space: The $300 million development southeast of 12th and McGee Street plans to bring 700 residential units. The $35 million investment northeast of 13th Street and Grand Boulevard will include 85,000 square feet of office and 8,500 square feet of retail.
Thanks, South Loop: Momentum for the projects has picked up since the South Loop Project has taken shape as eyes have turned toward downtown development.
