Check Out the $430 Million Mixed-Use Development Near the Kauffman Center
EPC Real Estate Group and builder Dan Carr have unveiled a sweeping $430 million-plus master plan for three high-rises just west of the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts
Phase by Phase: The first phase is a $207.9 million, 33-story apartment tower called The Encore at Broadway, rising roughly 372 feet with 392 units. The second phase is a $121.6 million, 15-story full-service hotel with 282 rooms, a flagship restaurant, and a rooftop cocktail lounge. The third phase is a $100.8 million, 11-story corporate headquarters building with 134,000 square feet of rentable office space above a multilevel parking garage.
The Big Picture: Together, the three phases would replace 4.25 acres of surface parking and include the site of a former Denny's already demolished. The development would add 1,158 total parking spaces across the three projects. No hotel flag or office tenants have been announced yet.
Phase one is expected to open in 2029, with the entire project completed by 2030.
