Not only is it Friday, its an 816 Friday! Here’s a peek at what’s going on around Kansas City this weekend:

• ⚽️ For the Cup: The KC Current will take on Atletico de Madrid on Saturday night in the Women’s Cup final at CPKC Stadium. The third-place match starts at 5 pm, with the Championship to follow.

• 🐶 Dogs on Stage: Everybody’s favorite Heeler family will be live on stage at the Kauffman Center this Saturday and Sunday with Bluey’s Big Play - The Stage Show.

• 🌎 Around the World: The 45th Annual Ethnic Enrichment Festival comes to Swope Park this Friday-Sunday, supporting over 60 cultural organizations and communities in Kansas City.

• 👕 Thrift Store Beers: Raytown’s Gnarly Hussle opens its bar on Saturday and is celebrating with a vintage pop-up, a tailgate party for the Chiefs vs. Lions at 3 pm, and live music from 6-8 pm.

• 🎥 Drive-In Double: The Boulevard Drive-In Theatre will offer a double feature of “Twister” (1996) followed by the new “Twisters” (2024) tonight and tomorrow. The original film starts at 8:40 pm with the new film beginning at 10:40 pm.

• 🌮 Taco ‘Bout It: On Saturday and Sunday, 20+ taco and food vendors will descend upon Kansas City Live at the Power & Light District for the KC Taco Festival.

• 🌻 Sunflower Festival: The KC Pumpkin Patch kicks off the KC Sunflower Festival today with flower-filled activities scheduled all weekend long.

• 🪕 Folk Night: The Turnpike Troubadours & Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit perform tonight at 6 pm at Azura Amphitheater in KCK.

• 🍿 Movies on the Roof: The Kansas City Public Library will show ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ tonight as part of its rooftop film series, Party Central.
