Happy Fountain Day! ⛲️

KC Daily

If you live in Kansas City, you’ve heard this fun fact: Kansas City has more fountains than any city in the world besides Paris. And today we celebrate that fact with Fountain Day 2024!

  • Spring Into Action: There are over 200 fountains scattered throughout the KC metro and Fountain Day is when the 48 that are publicly-operated are all turned on for the season.

  • Official Kick-Off: The official Fountain Day celebration is taking place at the Northland Fountain today at 1 pm. The event is a symbol of renewal and community spirit, featuring guest speakers like Mayor Quinton Lucas and Fire Chief Ross Grundyson.

The Kansas City Parade of Hearts Returns!

KC Daily

It’s almost time for Kansas City’s favorite public art experience to return!

  • The KC Heart: The Parade of Hearts places giant hearts designed by local artists around the KC metro. Every year the event celebrates diversity in our community and supports nonprofits. All hearts will be in place by April 27th and will remain around town through August.

  • I’ll Be Back: Be sure to make a plan to go Heart Hunting this year, as the Parade of Hearts will take next year off. The event will return in 2026 with “big things happening”.
