Vietnam Cafe to Open Second Location in Overland Park
Good news “Pho” Johnson County foodies. One of Kansas City’s best Vietnamese restaurants is opening a second location in Overland Park.
Pho in JOCO: Vietnam Cafe has called the Columbus Park neighborhood in KCMO home since 2015, but will now cross the state line to open a second shop at 9500 W. 135th St. in Overland Park. The space formerly housed Beef-A-Roo, but will undergo a renovation to accommodate Vietnam Cafe.
Banh Mi, To-Go: The new location will offer a drive-thru, allowing guests to take Kansas City’s best Vietnamese food on the go. The menu features Vietnamese classics like Banh Mi sandwiches and Pho, along with Vietnam Cafe specials like Muc Rang Muoi (Vietnamese calamari served with chopped lettuce, pickled carrots, and daikon) or Hen Xao Tuong Den (mussels stirred with black bean sauce, basil, and yellow and green onions).
An opening date is TBD, but it’s expected in 2026. Until then, visit the original Vietnam Cafe at 522 Campbell St. in Columbus Park.
