⛲️ Hello Snow, My Old Friend

Chris-what?: Christkindlmarkt is a traditional German Christmas market offering open-air vendors, traditional food & drink, and festive activities. The team at The Campground brings the tradition from Germany to the West Bottoms, offering family-friendly fun Thursday through Saturday from 5-9pm, and Sunday from 12-3pm.

Very Merry Vendors: This year’s Christkindlmarkt will feature booths from local vendors like Jack’s Daughters, The Object Enthusiast, Marceline Designs, and more. Food and drink will be provided by The Campground and Sagebrush, with a Letters for Santa station for the kids (or adults).

Party & Brunch: On Saturday, December 6th, taste 40+ tequilas and mezcals, signature cocktails, and food provided by Yoli Tortilleria and KC Taco Company at The Guild. There will be music and local vendors offering their wares for festive gift-giving. VIP ticket holders enjoy extra experiences. Then on Sunday, a boozy brunch paired with agave at Jade Jaguar includes a spread from Chef Ruben Leal of Caramelo Tortillas & Ignacio.

Gather & Learn: Also on Sunday is the Industry Gathering at King G’s, a gathering for bartenders and industry professionals. On Monday, December 8th, converse with industry experts and friends at The Seminars at Jade Jaguar and The Mercury Room, featuring cocktails and bites. RSVP HERE.

🌲 Good Grief!: On Tuesday, December 9th, the Kansas City Jazz Orchestra presents A Charlie Brown Christmas at Helzberg Hall. Nostalgia meets improvisation at this family-friendly performance, with remaining tickets being very limited!

🚗 Classic Comes Home: Mecum Auctions will visit Kansas City December 4-6, and will feature the sale of a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS LS5. These cars were built at the former General Motors Leeds Assembly Plant in Kansas City, with only 2,763 ever being built.

🏈 Friday Night Champs: This weekend is the MSHSAA High School Football State Championships, and three metro teams will compete for titles. Lee’s Summit takes on Nixa for the Class 6 title, Platte County takes on Carthage for the Class 5 title, and Kearney takes on Hannibal for the Class 4 Title.

📚 Books are Back: After closing in August due to a building fire, Monstera’s Books reopened this past weekend in downtown Overland Park to celebrate Black Friday and Small Business Saturday.
