Royals Sponsor Free Admission to NLBM During February
The Kansas City Royals are sponsoring free admission for all to the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum during the month of February.
Free February: Admission is free in honor of Black History Month, which is celebrated each February. This is the fourth year that the Royals’ organization has sponsored free admission for all visitors to one of Kansas City’s most cherished museums honoring the history of the Negro Leagues.
Historical Home Run: The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum is a valuable resource to the sport of baseball as well as local tourism. During the month of February 2024, the museum welcomed over 16,000 guests. Since the opening at its current location at 18th and Vine, the NLBM has welcomed over 2 million visitors.
The museum extends its hours during February: Mondays from 10-3, 9-3 on Wednesdays, and regular hours Tuesday through Saturday from 10-5 and Sunday from 12-5.

Get a Taste of New Orleans Right Here in Kansas City
Can’t make it to New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX? Get a taste of New Orleans right here at home at Jazz A Louisiana Kitchen!
KC Creole: As thousands of Chiefs fans plan trips to New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX on February 9th, some of us gotta stay home. Thankfully we can get a taste of authentic Creole cuisine at Jazz A Louisiana kitchen at its two metro locations: 1823 W 39th St. in KCMO and 1859 Village West Parkway #102 in KCK.
Cajun Creation: The menu at Jazz is filled with dishes otherwise hard to find in the KC metro. Gumbo, Jambalaya, boiled crawfish, Po’boys, and stuffed catfish are just some of the dishes it offers. Jazz also offers daily live music and a “Jazzaholics club”.
But if you’re still kicking around a trip to NOLA, tickets to the game are significantly cheaper than they were last year.
