A Tinned Seafood Cafe is Coming to the Crossroads
A Spanish-inspired cafe specializing in tinned seafood, sangria, and snacks, is coming to the Crossroads by mid-November.
In a Tin: Lilico’s Taverna is a passion project from longtime KC restauranteur Shawn McClenny (One Block South, Hogshead). The 3,000-square-foot cafe will offer premium tinned seafood ($7-$20), pinchos skewers, charcuterie boards, and cocktails in a casual, no-reservations setting.
Trendy Tins: The restaurant honors McClenny's late father-in-law, Orlando "Lilico" Cortes, and reflects the family's love of Spanish culture. If the tinned fish TikTok trend is new to you, you’re not alone. Check out Lilico’s menu to see what the craze is all about.
Lilico’s Taverna will be located at 1615 Oak St. Learn more from Startland News HERE.
