Extra Virgin is Getting a Redesign + a New Concept From Michael Smith
Extra Virgin
Extra Virgin, the Mediterranean tapas concept by James Beard Award-winning chef Michael Smith, is getting a redesign.
Michael’s Block: In 2018, Smith rebranded his restaurant Michael Smith into Farina and moved it a few doors down to 1901 Baltimore. Since then, Extra Virgin has used the space for overflow seating.
Two for One: Now the space at 1900 Main St. will be divided with the majority housing a soon-to-be redesigned Extra Virgin, and a small portion becoming EV Grab & Go. They will offer certain dishes that are found at both restaurants, as well as fresh herbs, pastas, soups, steaks, and more.
EV Grab & Go is expected to be open this summer.
