Hopping Into Your Childhood Dreams

KC Daily
Behind the North Kansas City skyline's hopping rabbits lies an extraordinary project years in the making — The Rabbit hOle, an immersive children's literature museum.
Tales Come To Life: Visionaries Debbie Pettid and Pete Cowdin are bringing beloved stories to life in a 165,000-square-foot space, offering an 'Explor-A-Storium' experience with exhibits that encompass well-known tales such as No, David! and Harry The Dirty Dog.
Family Friendly: 2023 will mark the grand opening of The Rabbit hOle, where visitors of all ages can step into the pages of classic children's books and discover new narratives in an enchanting environment. Think St Louis’ City Museum, but with a bend toward children’s books.
Another World: With a desire to make kids feel like they fell down Alice’s rabbit hole and found another room, The Rabbit hOle will feature things like the Great Green Room from "Goodnight Moon" which is meticulously recreated, with a telephone that plays a narration by Thacher Hurd, the illustrator's son.
You can follow their progress and contribute to their fundraising efforts on their official website. While no timeline has been set, they hope to open by this Fall.

Taking Missouri To The Moon

Summer Moon
Missouri's first Summer Moon Coffee, the Austin-based coffee chain known for its oak-roasted coffee and signature Moon Milk, is opening its doors in Lee’s Summit.
Family Affair: Mother-daughter duo Shelly and Kiersten Graham, who were captivated by Summer Moon Coffee during a trip to Texas, are bringing Missouri’s first store to Lee’s Summit, making it the second location in the metro.
Franchise Grows: Summer Moon’s 56th location will open this Saturday at a 1,550-square-foot location inside Summit Fair Shops Shopping Center at 699 NW Blue Parkway.
Wood-Fired Coffee: The Summer Moon Concept was predicated on a method of kiln roasting with oak wood creating a distinctive flavor for coffee lovers. The signature Moon Milk, with its seven secret ingredients, has also garnered a dedicated fanbase for those who love a latte on the sweeter side.
The grand opening will take place on Saturday at 7 am, where the first 50 guests will receive exclusive swag bags, and everyone can enjoy complimentary coffee and Moon Milk samples while supplies last.
