Hot Country Nights are Back

Do816

You can rest easy KC, knowing that Hot Country Nights are back for the summer starting tomorrow evening at Power and Light.

  • HCN @ P&L: Hot Country Nights has long been a staple in the downtown area as country music artists from across the U.S. come to play in one of our favorite outdoor venues in town.

  • Artists: This year’s lineup is full of big names and up-and-comers who offer plenty of fun songs for dancing in your boots. Not familiar with the artists? The three artists with the most Spotify plays are Tyler Hubbard, Justin Moore, and Dylan Scott.

  • Access: As always, the concerts will take place on Thursday evenings with tickets for general admission being the easiest to access. For a more unique experience and a better view, you could check out the PNC patio or Deep Eddy VIP lounge.

Concerts start this Thursday with Wade Bowen headlining and partying the night away. If you’re late to work on Friday, I’m sure “honky tonk” will count as an excused sickness.

So Long, Coach.

Crane Brewing Co.

Over the last three seasons, Ted Lasso has captured the hearts of millions across the country, but it seems to be a bit more special to Kansas Citians. To celebrate the final episode, Crane Brewing in Raytown has opened a Ted Lasso-themed pop-up bar.

  • Wednesday Night Goals: After opening last Saturday, Crane Brewing in Raytown, has opened a Ted Lasso Themed pop-up bar. Complete with Lasso cutouts, areas to kick around the ball, and character-themed cocktails.

  • AFC Raytown: With the final episode airing tonight at 7 pm, AFC Raytown will be airing the finale and bringing in free Arthur Bryants to celebrate.

  • Extra Time: With space being limited and no reservations available, you may want to head straight there after work. Don’t worry, there will be plenty of beer and bbq on tap.

While you’re there, grab one of the limited edition AFC Raytown t-shirt jerseys combining the AFC Richmond logo from the show and Crane Brewing.

Development

One North Adds to Plans

KC Daily

The One North Redevelopment Area in North Kansas City has proposed a few new additions to bring more tourism to the area.

  • Aerial Attraction: Tapping into the $1.4 million from the Missouri Tourism Asset Grant with a vertical rope climbing and zipline course overlooking a destination restaurant off Diamond Parkway.

  • Developed for Living: Two additions to the development could turn this area from a former industrial zone to a thriving living space with the addition of a long sought-after grocery store and luxury apartment complex.

  • Complementing Riverfront Developments: The project aligns with revitalization efforts along the riverfront, attracting more visitors to the area.

The timeline for the development will continue to change as grants and building projects get approval from the government, but most additions could go up as quickly as 12 months once approved.
