Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines! K1 Speed will open a new locations near the Legends in Kansas City, Kansas.

  • I Feel the Need: K1 Speed will open near N 98th St. and State Avenue in KCK, neighboring other attractions such as the upcoming Atlas9, Margaritaville Hotel, Homefield KCK Showcase Center, and more. It will be the second metro location, joining Lee’s Summit which opened at 2911 NE Independence Ave. in 2023.

  • The Need for Speed!: K1 Speed offers high-speed indoor go-kart racing at 100+ locations across the globe. Their karts can reach speeds up to 45 mph, the fastest in the industry. The new location at the Legends will also feature an arcade and cafe, making it a great entertainment option for kids and adults.

30hop is Now Open on Both Sides of the State Line

30hop is serving up great food with hospitality at heart on both sides of the state line!

  • Hop On Over: 30hop entered the Kansas City metro with a delicious bang in January, welcoming thousands of guests to its Lee’s Summit location. In May, the Iowa-based bar and grill opened its second metro location at Merriam Grand Station.

  • Meet Me at 30Hour: The menu at 30hop is loaded with fan favorites for brunch, lunch, and dinner and 30 craft beers on tap. Fan favorites include the 30hop Burger, Truffle Cheesesteak Melt, Bang Bang Brussels, and the Yakisoba Bowl. They also offer one of the best happy hours in town: 30% Sunday-Friday, 3-6pm.

The Skyline Rooftop at The Combine Opens This Friday

A new rooftop hangout is coming to Troost Ave. The Skyline Rooftop at The Combine opens this Friday, July 11th.

  • Drinks with a View: The Skyline will open on the roof of The Combine at 2999 Troost Ave. It will offer handcrafted cocktails and small bites alongside stunning views of midtown and downtown Kansas City. The space offers ample seating and covered areas for the warm summer evenings.

  • Down Below: The Skyline is found above The Combine, a full-service restaurant offering hot and cold sandwiches, pizzas, wings, and more. It is found in the Wonder Shops and Flats building, so they fittingly offer “Wonder Favorites” like PB&J sandwiches, grilled cheese, turkey and cheese, and a fluffernutter.

The Skyline Rooftop is open Wed-Thurs from 5-9pm, Fri-Sat from 5-10pm, and Sunday from 5-9pm.

Overland Park Named Best Place to Rent in the US

According to new study from WalletHub, Overland Park is the best place to rent in the US.

  • Rent is Due: WalletHub examined 180 rental markets based on 21 key metrics, which placed Overland Park at #1 with a total score of 66.93. OP had the 6th best rental market and affordability rank, and the 7th best quality of life rank. The next three ranked cities were all in Arizona: Scottsdale, AZ, Chandler, AZ, and Gilbert, AZ.

  • ‘MO Money: The only other metro city to be named in the study was Kansas City, MO, which ranked at #73 with a total score of 48.50. KCMO ranked fairly high in the best rental market and affordability rank at 28th, but low in the affordability rank at 128th.
