The Strang Hall Beer Fest Returns to Downtown Overland Park on June 28th
Cheers to beers in Overland Park! The 5th Annual Strang Hall Beer Fest returns on Saturday, June 28th.
Something’s Brewing: The festival takes place from 3-6pm inside Strang Hall (7313 W 80th St.) in the heart of downtown Overland Park. With 20+ breweries, food from chef-driven concepts inside Strang Hall, and live music, this is a can’t-miss event for any beer-lover. The event is 21+.
Eat & Drink: Your ticket to Beer Fest includes unlimited tastings of 40+ brews and other drinks (whiskey, wine, & tequila tastings) and 15% off all food inside Strang Hall. The event will also offer designated driver tickets for $10, which include 15% off all food.

Development
The KC Streetcar is Rolling to the Riverfront
Progress on the KC Streetcar Riverfront Extension keeps rolling along, with service expected to begin in early 2026.
Riverfront Rides: Just this past week, crews installed the first shelter along the Riverfront Extension just north of 3rd Street on Grand Blvd in the River Market. The route will continue under the Heart of America Bridge, with another stop on River Front. Dr. near CPKC Stadium.
North & South: As the Riverfront Extension heads north, the Main Street Extension headed south to the UMKC Campus (51st and Brookside) is slated to begin service this fall. With the Riverfront Extension expected to open as early as February, the entire KC Streetcar line will be operational by the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Kansas City Mom Collective Hosting Summer Bash This Weekend
The Kansas City Mom Collective is hosting a Summer Bash this Saturday (6/21) from 9-11am.
The Place to Party: Welcome the summer season (officially starts Friday!) at Park Place in Leawood with some family-friendly fun. The event will feature giveaways, good vibes, and 20+ activities for all ages.
Family Fun: The Summer Bash will feature performances by Kansas City Aerial Arts, bubbles from KC Bubble Parties, live music from DJ Ice Cole, games, obstacle courses, and so much more.
